Your SSB Account

Information about your SSB account.

1. Account Management

1.1. Your Seller Sourcebook Account

Navigation:
Account > Your Seller Sourcebook Account > Site Preferences

Overview:
Through Site Preferences you can customize how your SSB account functions.

The check boxes and drop-down menus give you choices to control the feature or function listed in the heading.

There are four major headings in Site Preferences: Image Manager, Listing Generator, Saved Listings and General options.

To the right of each customization, you will see an orange question mark icon. Use your mouse to "mouseover" or roll over the question mark icon and a box will pop up with an explanation of that feature or function.

Once you make changes, they are automatically applied to your account. To be sure your pages are refreshed, do logout and then back in when making changes to Site Preferences.

 

Image Manager Preferences
Choose which image uploader you would like to use to upload your images from your computer to your SSB account by using the "Enhanced Uploader preference"; drop down.

Once you upload your photos, you can organize your images in the Image Manager. You can choose how you want your images organized in Image Manager and how you want it to look and function.

Listing Generator Preferences
The Listing Generator is the system that takes your images, description and the template you choose, and generates the HTML code to list your auction. You can customize the layout of the Listing Generator, as well as turn on or off many features.
 
Saved Listings Preferences
Once you generate your listing, you can save it, prepare to launch it, revise or duplicate later. This section allows you to customize the view of your Saved Listings section.
 
General Options Preferences
This section gives you many options to control how you use the general features in your SSB account. Rollover the question mark for a detailed explanation of that feature.
 
Reset Button
You may use the Reset button to restore all Site Preferences to the default settings that were in effect when you logged into your SSB account for the very first time.
 
 

 

1.2. Image Hosting Summary

Navigation:
Account > Your Seller Sourcebook Account > Image Hosting Summary

Overview:
The Image Summary screen gives you vital information regarding your image hosting space.

# Hosted Images: How many images you currently have in your Image Manager.

Space Used: How much disk space your images are using in your Image Manager.

Space Available: How much disk space you have available in your Image Manager.

% left: The percentage of space left in your Image Manager.

There is also a pie chart showing the amount of space available (green ■■■) versus the amount of space used (red ■■■).

Note for colorblind viewers: The current shade of "green" is lighter than the current shade of "red".

Additional image hosting space may be purchased and added to your account. Please contact our Help Desk for ordering instructions.

1.3. Change password

  1. On our main page at the left menu, look for the heading YOUR SSB ACCOUNT.
  2. Click on the Change Password link.  You will be brought to the Membership Information Page.
  3. Enter your username and password in the fields provided and click the login button.
  4. Click the Change your Email Address or Password link.
  5. On the next screen, you will be prompted to enter your password twice.  If you change your mind, just leave the two spaces blank.
  6. Click on the Save Profile button.
  7. Click on the Membership Information Page link.
  8. To exit, click on the Logout of Account Record screen link.

 

1.4. Change registered email address

  1. On our main page at the left menu, look for the heading YOUR SSB ACCOUNT.
  2. Click on the Change Email link.  You will be brought to the Membership Information Page.
  3. Enter your username and password in the fields provided and click the login button.
  4. Click the Change your Email Address or Password link.
  5. At the next screen, replace your existing email address with your new one.
  6. Click on the Save Profile button.
  7. Click on the Membership Information Page link.
  8. To exit, click on the Logout of Account Record screen link.

 

1.5. Change SSB username

We do not permit SSB username changes. If you must change your SSB username, you must cancel your original account and open a new one. You must have completed your listings on the original account.


 

2. Billing

2.1. Additional image hosting

We do have additional image hosting available.

The hosting plans and prices are:
Additional 300mb :   $8.00 per month
Additional 500mb:    $85.00 per year
Additional 1000mb:  $165.00 per year

Please note that the yearly rates are a commitment to that term and may not be partially refunded.

To order additional image hosting please go to the following page on SSB and login with your user name and password:

On the next screen choose the Additional Image Hosting plan you would like from the drop down menu and then click the order button. You will then be taken to PayPal to make the payment.

As soon as we receive the payment notice a support team member will have the space added to your account. Please note the space is not automatically added by our system and must be configured manually. Please wait at least 24 hours. If you still cannot upload images, please contact our support team.

 

2.2. Annual accounting for records

If you need a record of your payments to SSB for the year, please log into your PayPal account and use the Advance Search feature. 
 
Enter the date range, and search by our payment address: subscribe@sellersourcebook.com 

 

2.3. Cancel subscription

Before choosing this option, if you're experiencing any difficulties with our program, please contact our help desk so that we may provide you with assistance.

If you are canceling because you are going to be selling on a different listing site, did you know you can use SSB on any listing site that allows you to enter your own HTML? For information on posting your listings to other selling venues, please contact support.

If your cancellation is not due to an issue with our site, and you would prefer to cancel, here's how:

Please login to your account and go to the home page of our site and look for the heading "Your SSB Account" at the left hand side. Click on the "Cancel Subscription" link.

You will be brought to a page entitled, "Cancelling Your Subscription."

This page will contain a survey. We would very much appreciate your input so that we may continue to improve our program to meet the needs of sellers.

IMPORTANT to Stop the billing:

After you have completed the survey on SSB, next please cancel your billing with PayPal to ensure they no longer make subscription payments on your behalf.

Login to your Paypal account.
 
At the upper right hand corner of the top blue bar, click on the gear icon.
 
At the next page, click on the Payments option.
 
Click Manage Automatic Payments
 
At the left menu, you'll see SSB/ST Development - click on it. 
 
You'll see your subscription is in Active status. Click on the Cancel button.
 
You will be prompted, "Cancel your future automatic payments to SSB/ST Development"
 
Click the button, Cancel Automatic Payments.
 
Click the button, Done.
 
You will be returned to the page showing your SSB subscription and it will now be marked as "Inactive" status.

Please Note: When your paid time has expired your photos will be immediately removed.

 

2.4. Refunds

2.5. Change PayPal account used to pay subscription

PayPal will not allow us to change a person's billing from one PayPal address to another. You must renew your SSB subscription using your new PayPal address. Once the renewal comes in we will close out the billing to your other PayPal address and send you a prorated refund if you had any paid time remaining. Nothing on your actual SSB account will be changed as far as images uploaded, saved listings, etc. All we are doing is updating your billing.

On the next screen choose the subscription you would like from the drop down menu and then click the order button. You will then be taken to PayPal to make the subscription payment. Once this has been done your account is all renewed using your new PayPal account.


Please email the help desk when you have completed the renewal process so that we may send you a prorated refund if it is owed to you.


 

2.6. Change PayPal funding source

On the PayPal site they will allow you to change a funding source for a current subscription.

2.7. Renew subscription canceled by PayPal

We have seen where PayPal will automatically cancel a subscription if your credit card has expired or if you have changed/removed a credit card or bank account on file. As you can imagine this has caused problems for subscribers that did not wish to cancel their accounts but were canceled inadvertently by PayPal.

We can get your account renewed so that is the good news. The bad news is PayPal will not let us go in and reopen a subscription ourselves; they require that a renewal comes in.

On the next screen choose the subscription you would like from the drop down menu and then click the order button. You will then be taken to PayPal to make the subscription payment. Once this has been done your account is all renewed. Please contact our help desk when you have completed the renewal process so a refund for any paid time remaining can be sent to you via PayPal.

 

2.8. Renew your subscription via Square Payments

If you no longer wish to use PayPal (for example, you've closed your PayPal account) and you wish to renew your subscription, we offer the ability to pay via Square Payments. Square is a secure payment processor, and you may submit payment with either your credit or debit card.

You do not need to have an account with Square in order to pay using this method.

2.9. Upgrade Subscription

To upgrade your subscription please go through our renewal form. PayPal will not allow us to change someone's subscription plan otherwise we would gladly get this switched over for you. PayPal also does not give us the ability to apply remaining balances to new subscriptions. How we work around this is to send a prorated refund for any paid time you may having remaining on your original subscription.

Please send us an email when you have done the subscription upgrade process. We will cancel out your current subscription billing and have a prorated refund sent back to your PayPal account for any paid time you had remaining.

3. Troubleshooting Issues

3.1. Troubleshooting: Clear Browser Cache

Computers store copies of frequently accessed pages and images in the cache in order to quickly reload pages without having to retrieve them from the Internet. Clearing the cache ensures you are accessing the most recent versions of these pages. Issues with web pages loading or images not displaying are often resolved by clearning your browser's cache.

1. Log out of your SSB account.
2. Clear your browser's cache. Instructions for clearing cache
3. Close ALL open browser windows.
4. Open a new brower window and type in www.sellersourcebook.com in the address bar. Don't use a bookmark, favorites link or link from a search results page.
5. Log into your account and see if the issue has resolved.

3.2. Troubleshooting: Update Browser

Our site works best with the most recent browser versions. Check to see if you have the most recent version of your web browser.

3.3. Troubleshooting: Update Operating System

Check to make sure your Operating System is up to date.

3.4. Troubleshooting: Update Add-on, Plug-ins and extensions

Check to make sure your Add-ons, Plug-ins and extensions are up to date.
